A Message From Rev. Jack Fitts, Pastor
God has given us some outstanding natural bridges throughout our nation. There are more than 50 that have been formed as water has forced its way through loose soil or rock. From the largest in the world on the Utah-Arizona border at the Rainbow Bridge National Monument to Rockbridge County, Virginia, God's forces of nature have steadily moved and shaped these unusual formations. God has also supernaturally moved and shaped many of our lives and countless others by His Spirit of Grace through the ministry of First Baptist Church, Brewton. His supernatural forces have literally provided the world with a great witness for over 150 years! Thank you for sharing His work here. Pray that we will continue to "Bridge the Gaps" for years to come and celebrate the eternal phenomenon of God's love to and through His church at First Baptist.

Why a seven-week family emphasis?
Because the Biblical meaning of the number seven is "completeness"
a number that is the very foundation of
God's Word, deriving much of its meaning from being tied directly to God's
creation of all things.

It's doing God's will on earth.  Earth is represented by the number 4 and Heaven by the number 3.  Together they are complete, hence the biblical meaning of 7.

That creation includes the family.  It is the most important building block to human society... so it should be nurtured and protected.  A family should journey to spiritual completeness together.

We not only invite you as a family, but encourage you to make all the events ...
because "Family Matters."
